The Hades Core
Now we get to my power source huh? The thing from which I derive the energy to fuel my existence as well as the special powers or other such things. But, before we move on and get deep into this you should know that every Titan had a certain core, or well a realm that they drew their power from. Hyperion for example drew his powers from light itself taking it in amplifying and intensifying it to fuel his existence, Cronus took his power from the sky itself and Oceanus from the very waters of the universe. Amongst the Titans though one of them had a unique realm from which they could draw their power. This Titan you see could draw power from the very realm of the soul itself. This Titan used the very Souls of everything around it to fuel his existence thus this titan had an almost unlimited source of fuel to burn. Oh did I not mention the name of this Titan yet? This Titan was Hades and now we can move on.
So that must be pretty hard to believe huh? How could a soul function as a power source huh? Well you see, through vast amounts of research and lots of trial and error Hades found that a single soul could function and put off enough energy to rival that of a large nuclear power plant. Or, to put it in more rellatable terms it could power a city the size of Moscow for about 100 years. Now then that hundred years thing sounds familiar right ? If not it should. 100 years you see is about the average theoretical lifespan of a human being. But, the human being is not the perfect container for this energy. And, as such when a human being is damaged part of the soul is spent on mending the injuries the human vessel takes, Or on fighting off the interior flaws in the human body such as illness or a malfunctioning organs and the like. When the human body finishes expending its soul on repairing damages, or the like ,the human vessel that it occupies often times dies and the soul that was inside of the human is burnt out. From the ashes of this burning out of the soul freeing the soul from the human body the soul freed from its vessel, and set loose to wander free until another vessel attracts the soul into themselves.
So keeping in mind what was mentioned above we should probably get into the life cycle of a soul. The soul is as you probably realized by now a naturally occurring phenomenon that results from many different phenomenon. As these phenomena are quite vast and varied, and I don't want to write a book on the subject lets just skip to the good stuff shall we? The first method of soul creation is via the procreation of two sentient intelligent creatures that produce offspring. Basically it means soul creation via the act of procreation of two sentient species. You see like a nuclear reactor when two vessels commingle in a intimate fashion the two souls can meld and produce an extremely energetic reaction that results in the creation of a new soul or the revitalization of soul of the two intimate vessels. This act in the end can produce another soul in the body of one of the intimate beings. The host soul you see fuels the secondary soul in the host body and after a period of time the soul produces itself a body and it is born.
The second method of soul creation is a bit more complex. You see even non living objects such as buildings statues dolls etc basically anything that does not originally have a soul can gain a soul via the attachments and bounds formed over it. This method of soul creations relies upon a melding of memories and emotions and the like of other living objects imparting their memories and feelings into the open and soulless vessel of the building. Thus after time the building itself can gain itself a brand new soul. While this soul is more powerful and longer lived then the normal human soul the soul that is created here is far more limited in its experiences. This soul can not repair damage its inanimate vessel or even allow it to reproduce and create new souled beings. Though it should be said that over time and in extreme cases the souls of these inanimate objects can indeed mutate to form brand new vessels and souled beings. (This is basically Essence or experience created souls)
The third method of soul creation is done via creation. Have you ever sat down next to an artist and watched them do their work? How they tenderly and lovingly caress and form the art piece they are creating at that point of time? And from this period of watching the artist have you ever been swelled with emotion or just felt something deep inside you? Well it is through that loving care and simple act of creation though they are doing it to an inanimate object they pull together strands of the universe and weave them into a soul that they embed into these creations. Don't believe me? Have you ever watched a man lovingly build a thing from the ground up with his own hands. Have you ever seen the man put his own blood sweat and tears soak into the creation as the man lovingly shapes his creation with loving tenderness? Then have you ever when you look upon this finished creation be moved with emotion or feelings that nothing other then a human has produced in you before? It is this emotions and feelings produced that gives you no doubt that a soul is in a creation.
With that we have covered the power that souls produce how souls are created but we now need to go into the dynamics of souls themselves. So it should first be stated that a soul is firmly tethered to its vessel via a extremely powerful attraction. In normal cases the attraction between soul and body is so firm that it can only be separated via various methods. The first method is death for it is in death that the body no longer holds ties to the soul and thus the soul is allowed to part from the human body. The second method of soul separation is accomplished via people achieving a near death state this also a weakening of the bond and thus the allowance of the of the soul to separate from the body and wander a set distance away from the body and observe things there, psychics call this astral viewing, this sort of separation can also be caused through usage of some extremely mind numbing and altering psychotropics, don't ask it was college. The last method is one developed via Hades himself and is a combination of these two techniques. The Death provides a permanent separation between Soul and Body while the second method leaves a noticeable tether. The third method of separation gives the soul its own independence while also allowing the soul to settle back into the body. It is this third method that offers the best of both worlds as to say and it was Hades preferred method.
So the explanation of why the soul stays in the body is over but now I feel like I should explain what would happen upon the damaging of the soul and the soul alone. The soul you see can be damaged like any other thing in the universe. So you should probably know that the soul acts like a liquid of sorts it takes and fills the vessel to the brim. But, what happens when part of the soul connecting one part of the vessel to another is separated? Well the separation of part of a soul from the other overall mass of the soul results in the cessation of signals to that part of the body. For example say the soul was severed from someone's arm. That arm would then cease to have any feeling what so ever basically rendering it useless. While this sort of damage can be repaired after a period of time it is a long term process. This process usually takes many many years and much internal meditation to speed it along. That being said there are certain areas of the body that if they have the soul severed at will render immediate death these areas mostly being vital points in the body, heart brain etc, and when these points are hit death is immediate.
So the last part of soul dynamics that should be discussed is the effects of soul on soul contact. You see while a soul is not normally able to be impacted by a normal every day object. But there are certain things or objects that can impact the soul. When that happens and if the soul is not severed from another part of the soul the soul can if hit hard enough be separated from the body and as we know when the soul is separated fully from the body as was explained earlier death ensues.
So with all that soul information in mind we can finally get into the Hades Core. The Hades Core functions as container for other souls. The core functions by slowly siphoning the excess energy put off by the souls of things in the surrounding area. This energy is sucked into the Hades core and in return converted from Soul into energy to fuel my body and work as my go go juice. So as we discussed earlier basically everything in existence has a soul, be it attached via memories or creation or inside of it like normal, and thus the Hades core exudes an attraction greater then that of anything else in the area. This attraction begins to attract souls to it and it slowly bleeds the souls out of the surrounding area to fuel itself. But this soul siphoning has a few side effects. When an object has undergone soul siphoning the structural solidity of the item itself becomes damaged thus this siphoning acts like a universal rot or corruption weakening the bonds of a thing til eventually it collapses in on itself. It also dampens the effects of special energies naturally drawing in the energy and the souls using it to power myself.
So when this Soul is converted into power by the Hades core it is then used by me to fuel my abilities and other such things, will be explained in other tabs, But this power can also be used to reinforce my own body to allow it to accomplish feats and acts that would be beyond even my new and enhanced body. Want to know more? Then read on in the Hades Core tab.
